Who we are
Diane
Originally from Shropshire, I discovered a love for hiking and the great outdoors on a school visit to the Duddon Valley. It was after meeting Andrew at Lancaster Uni that we hoped that one day we would be able to live in The Lake District. When the chance came we jumped at the opportunity and here we are more than 20 years later.

Originally from Lancashire, I spent many wonderful (often rainy!) holidays in the Lake District and I knew early on this was where I wanted to be.
The Family
The Matthews family moved to Skiddaw Grove in early 2003 and the rest, as they say, is history. It has been a great pleasure to welcome many guests over the years.Currently we are only letting the self-catering apartments
